Nika Meyers
Nika Meyers grew up in the hills of Bridgewater, VT nestled among fresh produce and hardwoods and is now creating a home in the Roaring Fork Valley. Fascinated by spending time outside and combining passions, she completed a degree in Studio Art and Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
Inspired by curiosity, she has celebrated place as a backcountry caretaker, taught the wonders of the North Cascades, worked on trail crews, followed migratory birds to Costa Rica, and has hiked over 10,000+ miles across the United States connecting communities, landscapes and ecosystems. Now the process of making art transports her to places and moments that are full of magic, change, wild silliness, and demanding challenge.
In addition to going on long walks and creating paintings, she coaches Nordic skiing, teaches about the natural world, gardens, and tells/listen to stories. The wild and rugged landscapes have become more a home than any space with four walls and moving at a 3 mile an hour pace is where she finds the most peace.

Stephanie Nixon
Stephanie Nixon’s art work teeters between abstraction and reality, focusing on man madestructures in contrast with the natural environment. Originally from Detroit and relocating to Aspen 12 years ago, her art blends industrial blue collar grit with atmospheric mountain landscapes. Stephanie attended Grand Valley State University, and 2002 graduated with a BFA in Painting. She continued her education at the Rhode Island School of Design, earning her Masters Degree in Art Education. Stephanie has taught the last twelve years in the Visual Arts at Aspen High School, creating curriculum for students that focuses on visual art techniques in mixed media and conceptual meaning.

Suzanne Jackson
At heart, Suzanne Jackson is a backcountry wanderer who loves to hike, sketch and paint. She shares her passion for the natural environment through illustrating magical moments outdoors. Suzanne often sketches in pencil and watercolors on site. This exhibition features studio work that she prepared through the winter while dreaming about spring.
“Creating my art promotes an Earthwise awareness and intensifies my connection with nature. I hope it brings inspiration to you.” Suzanne is a resident of Basalt, Colorado. Professionally, she’s practiced as a landscape architect and planner in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond for 30 years. Her goal is to live and work with an earthwise sensibility; and through her art, to awake human senses to the wonders of our intricate natural environment.
Suzanne’s work has been shown at community exhibits including the Aspen Chapel, Basalt Art Base and the Carbondale Launchpad, and is available in several local shops. She has produced notecard sets, prepared and donated artwork to local non‐profits, and she works on commission.

Bob Camp
Bob Camp moved to Aspen from Yellowstone in 1973. He has been an active photographer for decades and had a black and white darkroom long ago. Beginning in 2013, he became more focused, combining photography with an interest in birding along with other wildlife, wild places and landscapes. That timing also involved a full embrace of digital photography including post processing in Lightroom.
Bob’s photographs have been included in VIREO (Visual Resources for Ornithology), the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory newsletter and the Aspen Times Weekly. He has shown at the Red Brick Center for the Arts, the Snowmass Chapel and appreciates the opportunity to share landscapes of Independence Pass at the Aspen Chapel. He long served on the board of Independence Pass Foundation and continues to support IPF. All of his proceeds from the Art for the Pass show will be donated to IPF.

Amy Beidleman
The love of the outdoors is evident in Amy’s paintings. She is intrigued by the transformation of a blank piece of paper into a place she hopes the observer would like to go for a moment.
Painting watercolor for more than just a hobby was always a dream of Amy’s until in 2010 when a friend offered to sell the cards in her Aspen store. Now Amy has her cards in over 40 shops. She also teaches art workshops, sells her paintings in art shows and online, and does commission work for businesses and individuals as well as volunteers as the Water Media Curator for the Aspen Chapel Gallery. For over 20 years, Amy was CFO of a couple local banks which gave her a strong financial background to start her own business. She is mostly self-taught, continuously studying and taking classes. Amy has been in Aspen since 1978. She and Neal have two children, Finn and Reed. Amy supports a number of non-profit organizations through the creation of artwork and donations of cards.
